As you progress at the club, you may want to spar and ultimately compete in regular shows which we host or attend. The information below tells you what to do next as you get to those stages.
How do I Register a Recreational or Competitive Boxer
Recreational Boxers (Non-Competing)
Firstly they will need a medical from a Doctor. Everyone under England Boxing rules must be medicallled and registered to spar. EBC book a Doctor to come around 3 times a season to the club.
Or, they can be done at a live boxing show. We can advise on these.
Currently approx. £20 cash to the Doctor.
Print out this Recreational Boxer Medical Form and give to the Doctor to complete. Give this back to EBC.
Go to https://www.englandboxinginsight.com/auth/register to register as a Recreational Boxer on the England Boxing ‘Vault’ Website. When prompted for your region, put ‘Southern’. For club, put ‘Eastbourne.’
Email Adam on adam.haniver@gbmc.ac.uk to confirm you have done this as we then ratify you our end and can send off your medical form to England Boxing.
Recreational medicals last 12 months. It is free of charge to register as a Recreational Boxer.
Competing Boxers
EBC will apply for a blank Boxing Competition Record (BCR1) card from England Boxing.
Send a passport mugshot to Adam on 07825684196 via WhatsApp or via email to adam.haniver@gbmc.ac.uk
Create an England Boxing Profile on the ‘Vault’ here.
Select; Region – Southern. Club – Eastbourne. Select Boxer.
Tick the box that says. ‘Club to pay fees’
WhatsApp Adam (07825684196) or email him (adam.haniver@gbmc.ac.uk) and tell him your email address you registered with and the password so he can log in and continue the process. (Please choose a password which is unique and not related to any other log ins you may have elsewhere)
Take your BCR1 card to the Doctor to be medicalled. EBC book a Doctor to come around 3 times a season to the club. Or, they can be done at a live boxing show. We can advise on these. Currently approx. £20 cash to the Doctor. If Under 18, please can parents/guardians sign the card in the inside cover. Give the card back to Adam.
Please pay £20 registration fee for the season to EBC (Season is 1st June – 31st May). Adam can provide the club’s bank details for this. If the boxer is under 18, Adam will need a copy of the boxer’s passport or birth certificate to send to the Southern Counties registrar.
Adam will then send this off via recorded delivery to the Southern Counties Registrar to stamp for the season. Once received back, you can compete once matched by the club.
